Adams County Teen Academy

The Adams County Sheriff's Office Teen Academy gives teens a look at law enforcement. It helps them understand the role of the Sheriff's Office in the criminal justice system and the daily tasks that officers handle.

The Academy lasts for one week (40 hours) and teaches teens about how the Sheriff's Office operates. The lessons are like those in the usual P.O.S.T Academy, but they do not train participants to become law enforcement officers. Each session is led by officers and staff from different divisions, providing students with real information.
